I had the pleasure of reporting to Ian Wright for several years during an era of digital and resource transformation periods. Ian’s greatest strengths are his compassionate leadership style, eagerness to innovate and challenge status quo, and motivating individuals to maximize their potential through learning, embracing failures, and celebrating small wins.

Ian challenged his direct leadership team to do what is right for the organization while keeping a focus on the people aspect. He creates a culture where failing up and taking a chance is encouraged. Ian is an inspiring leader, he has the ability to set the strategy and empower his team to move forward and execute it, he makes sure roadblocks are removed and sets clear expectations with key stakeholders. Genius!

I worked with Ian for many years. He is a technical genius with excellent interpersonal skills. In addition to many earlier works, he developed our technical framework for a global processing platform that consisted of hardware, network and software components we called "MyCloud". This platform was used to roll out a global initiative for Pearson's global processing initiative called IOP (Infrastructure Optimization Program).

His interpersonal skills span written and presentation as well as the ability to deal with people. He actively managed a group of technicians spread across the globe and was extremely successful in gaining both their personal and technical trust....no small feat! He frequently spoke to large audiences and was always very well received.

I would be extremely excited to have Ian on my team no matter what the challenge.
